Every Garayalde design is handcrafted by skilled artisans in California using time-honored techniques and premium vegetable-dyed leather hides selected for their natural beauty, strength, and ability to age gracefully over time.

Each piece is individually inspected before leaving the studio to ensure it meets Garayalde’s standards of craftsmanship and quality.

Natural variations in leather, evolving patina, and signs of wear are hallmarks of authentic materials and are intended to become part of each piece’s story.

Garayalde is committed to exceptional craftsmanship and enduring quality. Each piece is carefully inspected before leaving the studio to ensure it meets the highest standards.

Should you experience a manufacturing defect under normal use, please contact us. We will evaluate the piece and, when appropriate, repair or replace it. Natural variations in leather, patina development, and signs of wear are considered part of the material’s beauty and are not defects.

• Store in the provided dust bag when not in use.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, moisture, oils, and cosmetics.
• If the leather becomes wet, gently blot with a soft cloth and allow it to air dry naturally.
• Avoid overloading handbags to help preserve their shape.
• The brass hardware will naturally develop a rich patina over time and may be polished if a brighter finish is desired.
• Vegetable-dyed leather will soften and deepen in character with wear, making each piece uniquely your own.

With a background in both interior and jewelry design, her work reflects a lifelong fascination with form, materiality, and the enduring beauty of handcrafted objects.

Her creative vision draws inspiration from the organic modernist movement and a personal archive of handmade brass belt buckles created by her aunt in Mexico during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Reimagined through a contemporary lens, these architectural forms became the foundation of a collection defined by quiet luxury, thoughtful craftsmanship, and timeless design.
