Description
Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini — Fall/Winter 2020
A runway-shown dress from Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini's Fall/Winter 2020 collection, crafted in Liberty floral velvet with crystal trim and fluid movement.
Crafted in Liberty floral velvet, this dress reflects Lorenzo Serafini’s experimental approach for the season. Liberty florals were dip-dyed and transformed through industrial washing techniques, creating depth, softness, and fluid movement throughout the silhouette.
Velvet paneling, crystal trim, and a dramatic plunging neckline define the design, balanced by a fluid skirt and practical side pockets. An interior hook-and-eye closure allows the neckline to be worn with a deeper plunge or adjusted for additional coverage.
A romantic yet sharp piece that captures the signature tension of the collection.

An electric red smock dress and it's multi-color companion in a Liberty-print velvet started out white. The dip-dyeing was just the beginning. Many of the dresses were trimmed with silk fringe and accessorized with garlands of silk flowers.
