In a world driven by disposability and dictated by trend cycles, One Vintage stands as a quiet rebellion—an atelier where the past is neither preserved in amber nor plundered for novelty, but rigorously reimagined.
Founded on the conviction that true style transcends time, One Vintage rescues antique garments and forgotten textiles from obscurity and breathes new relevance into them. Each piece is meticulously deconstructed and reassembled, not to imitate the past, but to converse with it. What emerges is not replication, but reinterpretation—a dialogue between centuries, translated for the present-day woman with a discerning eye and an independent spirit.
This is not fast fashion. Nor is it nostalgia. It is craftsmanship without compromise. Conscience without cliché. A philosophy where sustainability is not a slogan but an ethos embedded in every hand-finished seam.
One Vintage is more than a label—it is a cultural intervention. A collector’s archive for the future. And a sartorial proposition for those who understand that what is truly rare is not the garment itself, but the vision behind it.
This collection from One Vintage has been curated exclusively for Coveted Mix.

Marcelle Symons
Marcelle grew up in a family of very glamorous women who embodied the opulent style of the 80’s and 90’s, wearing bold embellishments, shoulder pads, open toe shoes, big hair, grunge and strong perfume. Influenced by their style and guided by the importance they placed on manual work, particularly making things by hand, Marcelle started crafting braided jewelry. During summer holidays with her extended family in Italy, she would sell her pieces by the beach, trading in a lemonade stand for a jewelry stand. From there, Marcelle started compiling a collection of trinkets, fabric swatches, beads and anything beautiful and unusual that caught her eye. This was the beginning of her career in fashion.
After graduating from University, Marcelle’s first job was in retail, working for Prada. With a passion for selling, Marcelle continued her career in the industry by helping launch the franchise, Paul and Joe. After opening six stores with only two collections a season, unlike today’s fast fashion industry, she needed to find a way to have people come into the store on a weekly basis. That’s how Marcelle came up with the idea to have a one-off piece in the store every week. With an obsession for luxury and designer clothing, she started experimenting with creating one-offs at Paul and Joe.
Though she loved what she did, she was concerned about the excess that fast fashion produced and wanted to add value back into products. A product can only be sustainable if it’s repurposed and recycled, and there is nothing eco-friendly about mass production. From her experiment with one-offs at Paul and Joe, she had an idea based around reworking antique fabrics, laces and silk prints into contemporary silhouettes to create one-off pieces. So, in 2005, Marcelle opened One Vintage, her own vintage emporium in London’s Notting Hill on Ledbury road. With her couture like approach, taking beautiful and unique pieces and reworking them into something entirely new, One Vintage quickly became a cult destination for some of the most special clothes around.
Creating garments that were made only from original antique textiles, Marcelle took items like vintage dresses, kimonos and Victorian tops and breathed new life into them by imagining them in a completely new way. Like her collectible vintage, her one-off creations are timeless pieces, with an element of couture.
